Suffix -FUL Presentation Daily Routine
Day 1: Introduce the function of suffixes. They change the meanings of words or give us more information about a word. Adding the suffix -ful to a base word changes a noun, verb, or adjective into an adjective. The suffix -ful means full of. Today, you will only work with words where you don’t change the base word and add -ful.
Day 2: You will follow the same routine as previous days, but you will introduce adding the suffix -ful to words that end in the letter y. in this case, we drop the letter y and add -iful. For example, beauty becomes beautiful.
Days 3-5: Students will practice all of the spelling patterns.
