Alaska Reading Passage
Alaska is the biggest and coldest state in the United States, and it’s full of natural wonders. It’s so big that it has many different types of landscapes. In the south, you can find lush forests, but as you go north, it gets colder, and you’ll see impressive glaciers. These glaciers are like rivers of ice, and they’re massive. Many animals live in Alaska’s forests, such as grizzly bears, moose, and bald eagles.
One of the most famous things about Alaska is its winters. It gets really, really cold and snowy. People living in Alaska are used to this cold weather and have fun activities like dog sledding, where strong dogs pull sleds through the snow. During the long summer days, there’s a lot of fishing and outdoor adventures. You can also see the Northern Lights, which are colorful lights that dance in the night sky. Alaska is a special place with so much to explore and enjoy, and it’s an exciting state to visit and learn about!
