Do you need to teach your students about the prefix un? This prefix un- presentation takes care of one week of lesson plans!
Prefix UN- Presentation Daily Routine
Day 1: Introduce the function of prefixes. They change the meanings of words or give us more information about a word. This lesson is about prefixes that change the meaning of a word to be the opposite of the base word. This is the prefix un-. We only use the prefix un- with verbs and adjectives. Today, you will only work with verbs. I highly recommend having students say or write sentences with both the base word and the prefixed word to focus on how the meaning changes.
Day 2: You will follow the same routine as day one, but you will work with adjectives and review verbs.
Day 3 – 5: These are review days working with both adjectives and verbs.
Mixed Review: You will also get 25 mixed review slides to incorporate into later practice sessions.
Of course, you can always access these slides for free on www.TheProductiveTeacher.com!
